Gold Dwarven axe

Hmmm... Gold Dwarven Axes seem to be showing up quite regularly now of these days. Negative energy makes the axe undesirable to a warrior but it's still a sought after skin so I would say 400 ectos. Btw, have a look at this for a pretty rough idea of what Dwarven Axes can achieve without drawing blood:

Although your axe is a requirement 11 with dmg 13% -5 energy, I doubt it really makes a difference to collectors considering the crazy amounts that are paid for Dwarvens so I've changed my previous quote by adding an extra zero around the back...

Hmmm, was I that tired last night? I am sure the bid on the auction for the req. 9, 15% always -5 energy had reached 7 mill...
Anyway MB, I would agree that the half a million range would be an affordable as well as a reasonable sum for a gold Dwarven Axe; and I have in the past couple of days set PCs within that price range. However, I have spoken to a few players and they also agree that a price of 400 ectos is not impossible for the above mentioned axe as Jayfung's req. 13 15^50 is now at 375 ectos, and the one on GWAuction currently stands at around 540 ectos.
I hate seeing game items sell for insane prices, but neither do I like lowballing of items that have decent mods and are currently in demand. Thus, I will stand by the 400 ectos PC I made earlier. Whether the price of Dwarvens will plummet in the near future remains to be seen. I'm just relieved to have got rid of the purple before these golds started popping up...

For your knowledge, the purple dwarven I had was sold for a sum of 35 ectos; a buyout which I, and some players who helped me with the PC, never expected would be reached. But it was sold for that amount, and within half a day of placing the axe on high end. Furthermore, I had a better offer 5 minutes after the sale had been completed... If I am mistaken as to the true value of Dwarven Axes, then I apologise to any sellers or buyers out there. However, like I said before, any trade at any price depends on seller as well as buyer.

It is, at the end of the day, up to him as seller. He may set a price of 1000 ectos for all I care, or he may give it away for free. End of the day, I am only helping out by providing a price range by providing a couple of references as with regard to said price range.

As I mentioned earlier and I would like to repeat it again HR, I agree with both your goodself and Monsieur Black that half a million pieces of gold is an affordable and reasonable price for a Dwarven Axe and it makes the auction more competitive. Had I not made references to Jayfung's Dwarven or the one currently on auction (which has now reached 4 million or 570 ectos), my estimate may be laughed or scoffed at. However, I do detest it when my words are twisted around and made to seem like I am telling a player to set a starting bid of 400 ectos.
Over the past couple of weeks, some of the people that I have given PCs of over 100k have PMed me for further advice on setting up an auction thread. In answer, I have never ever told them to set their prices at the highest possible value. In fact, I try to convince them to keep their prices reasonable in order that players of all ages would be able to share and enjoy one of the most interesting part of MMORPG. However, beyond that it is out of my control. A player may be greedy and hope to get the most out of his item, which may result in him not ever selling the item. Or he could be sensible and be happy with a few hundred thousand pieces of gold from the sale. For all I know, this player may be happy just keeping the axe for himself and no one would be the wiser as it is afterall still quite decent and a good axe to show around.

o
A most amusing thread which has made me chuckle for a good few minutes.
The guy saying its worth 400 ectos sent me some pm demanding an explanation
Anyway, please never pm me again as you are filling up valuable pm space and more importantly never demand me to do anything ever again.
Why isnt it worth 400 ectos I hear you demanding from me?
But I guess Lady Saph is wrong too huh?
I follow the sale of many high end items as I am always on the look out for potential collection pieces and this aint worth 400 ectos.
