OK, I might have missed it, but I don't think it's been raised elsewhere.

Will our new character names from this weekend be reserved on our account for when Factions goes live, as happened with the original Betas? I'd think yes, but...

I didnt even start thinking of mine, and im thinking no. But then again youll already have it in mind, im probably going to use my pvps name (Satans Furry)

Yes, if you make a character and don't delete it, it will be preserved. The preview info has said your characters will be "reset" which doesn't really clarify this but I do recall Gaile or some interview saying specifically that if you make a character it will be reset into a beginner character with same name, same appearance and all, and you'll be able to access it again once Factions comes out.

This is only true if you make a character from your account. If you make a temp visiter account it will not save your names.

Ah, very good clarification there. If you want the character's name to be preserved for your account you'd have to make it on your account. I think whenever you do these preview things they save the preview accounts for a short time for people that don't have the game at all, and then you're able to upgrade them to full accounts with access keys and stuff. So ya if you're planning on keeping Factions seperate from your original GW account, then there's no prob because you can just go in and add the Factions CD Key to a preview account and be done with it. But if you're planning on linking them, but you use a temp key during the preview event because you don't have an extra slot, then make sure that you delete your character before the preview event ends. If not I think it will save your character on that preview account for a little while, and maybe even a long while, and maybe forever :O so it would be some time before you could use the name that you made on your preview account.

I really don't wanna mess someone's account issues up with the information I just threw up there so if you're the slightest bit unsure about something I said please inquire about it and I'll try and clarify/correct anything I said.

When I played the Beta weekend events of the original Prophecies campain, my names were still reserved for me when I purchased the full version of the game (it was quite a few months later).

I hope this is not the case this time, because I stupidly used names on a temporary account that I want to use on my normal account. Guess I'll just delete them as Moses said, thanks.
