So far I've had 3 of my questions answered.

We will be able to use new core class skills in preview weekend.

Shield, wand, and focii upgrades are going to be added but maybe not till chapter 3

More control for henchmen and pets but again not until c3

if there are going to be focus, shields and wandupgrades then 2handed items will need a severe upgrade in potency of their upgrades... most people already prefer a 1 handed weapon with offhander above a 2 handed item...
