I think table breaking images (first example, second example) should be made a bannable offense.
Reason: Readability of those threads is completely destroyed, it's painfully annoying to have to scroll horizontally to read EVERY line of EVERY post on the thread page containing the table breaking image.
Resizing an image isn't exactly rocket science, if you are able to post on an internet forum, you should be able to resize your screenshot.
Table breaking images

You could run the Opera browser, it has a handy feature that fits pages to your window width. I use it all the time. There are lots of sites out there that have this same thing happening on them.
Poison Ivy
Or you can choose Firefox and download a few plugins.

As I'm using Opera, I'd be very thankful for the hotkey.
Nevertheless I don't think it's my duty to make up for the incompetencies of others. Table breaking images are easily avoidable. The only thing is: if there is no punishment, people will just not care.
Also, I know quite some forums where ignorant use of table breaking images lead to a temporary ban. It works quite well.

I still don't know what he is talking about they look fine to me... I can read the whole thing np... Maybe your screen resolution is set really low or something...
QuuTip
1024 x 768 isn't a "really low resolution".
If you don't know what I am talking about, set your resolution to 1024 x 768 and try to read the example threads without scrolling from left to right on EACH line.
For 17" monitors, it is the default resolution and lots of notebook displays are not able to show higher resolutions than 1024 x 768.
If the max allowed image size would be 800x600, there would be no problem at all.

In Opera you right click on the broswers window bar and go to customize, go to buttons and then to browser view, the button for "fit to window width" is there drag to anywhere you want to put it I just love that feature!

Thanks a lot, really a great feature
My complaint is unaffected by this though.

I hate that too. There have been times I give up on the thread because the scrolling is so annoying.

oh. OK I c what you mean now. I guess I just don't use that Small a res anymore. even my laptop is 1600x900 But I see what you mean when I set it down to that res... I just got used to the bigger desktop space I guess...
I think there is a setting in the admin panel for the forums for resizing uploaded images... But I think this particular version makes them all thumbnails... Other solutions is opera as others have said for instant fit to screen options... This option is also in the IE 7 2 Beta. Not a big surprise MS would copy a popular alternative Browser... That's what MS specialises in.

It's unrealistic to expect people to use another browser just to read one site. Personally I'll just continue to leave threads with table breaking images.
