W/Me PvP build
renly
Here is my W/Me PvP build:
Swordsmanship: 12
Insperation: 10
Illusion: 11
Skills:
1. Flurry
2. Sever Artery
3. Final Thrust
4. Illusionary Weaponry {E}
5. Imagined Burden
6. Illusion of Weakness
7. Healing Sig
8. Res Sig
Here is a general rundown of how it works:
During prep time cast Illusion of weakness, the Heal Sig your HPs back. At the begining of the fight pick your target and use Imagined Burden to keep them still. Run in and pop Illusionary Weaponry (this is used because it gives you 34 damage with every swing). Wait for some energy to come back and Flurry as often as possible. With this build you are going for as high a swing rate as possible because the damage comes per swing with Illusionary Weaponry.
I have found that this build works great against most opponents, especially against rangers that think its funny to use WD, Lightning Reflexes etc...
Drawbacks:
This build is very energy dependent and gladiator armor is suggested. Also, I have found it to be prone to being interrupted. Finally, there is a glaring lack of self healing. The Illusion of Weakness and Healing Sig are to be used in the event of an emergency.
Let me know what you think...

Illusion of Weaponry is a waste of time. You get more damage otherwise.
And due to my really little time as an IW, I don't think Sever and Final work with IW.
IMO, it's just not worth it.

As previously stated this build is heavily "ENERGY" dependant. Mixing in a few adrenalin skills keeps the damage curve smooth. Are you saying that when attacking monks, elementalists, necros and mesmers you get more damage with out IW? If so I completely agree. How about vs. Rangers and Warriors? With an emphasis on rangers that use avoidance skills? I have found IW to help cut down Rangers and Warriors fast and Sever Artery and Final Thrust are used on weaker armor classes. Thanks for the insight though.

Without the headpiece and sup illu, IW is dealing 34 damage( correct me if i'm wrong), the damage you will be doing with a normal sword.
If you're going IW, try using a Me/W with Ripostes and a zeal hilt, wars won't know what hit them.(Stupid ones anyways)

Why would bring Healing Signet with no points into Tactics.

Let me know what you think... just to make sure you know, once Iw is up you only do Iw damage. your sword no longer does physical damage. so you're ONLY doing 34 damage and not building adrenaline. it's hard to get off sever or final thrust without any adrenaline in the tank. and if it gets shattered that's a waste of 15 energy when you have around 30 at the most.
sever artery without gash is silly. you want the deep wound. bleeding is nothing but a condition.
IW costs 15.
imagined burden costs 15
illusion of weakness costs 10
flurry is 5
good luck spamming flurry. ever.
you have 10 in tactics just for heal sig. that's a little inefficient.
im glad you bring res sig

illusionary weaponary makes your weapon miss and do 0 damage in melee, while illusinary weaponary deals dmg itself; points in swordsmanship are poinstless. in addition, since your attacks are not actually hitting, there is no point in in adren skills, since they do not charge

Fine, I didn't say it directly. Please accept my apologies.

Let me know what you think... I do an average of 35-55 damage per hit on monks, elementalist, necromancer, mesmer (60AL) with the best sword.
Unless they are in stance to block or evade your attacks, I can't see the point to use IW. Such an energy-intense build will never work in GvG or even in RA PVP. Remember many classes can drain out your energy to Zero in no time.
IW is a fancy build for Mesmer to own warriors just for fun in RA and TA. In GvG, IW mesmers will die in seconds.
Just my 2 cents

just noticed that you didn't add any point tactics but you use Healing Signet....
