I normally play a W/ but decided to try a Monk a bit ago. Not because I want to heal people, but because Smiting at 16 looked amazing. Anyway, I've only been playing a Healing Monk for about 3 days now...up until the desert I was playing a Smiting/Fire Mo/E. I'd used henchies up to that point or gone it solo. I tried Sanctum Cay with a PUG, and we died after completing bonus, and we decided to go right back but our healing Monk left...so they asked me to go pure heal. I did alright I think. No major problems, but there seemed to be too many unused skills on my bar. After getting to the desert, I tweaked some more and I still wasn't happy. Either too many expensive spells or to many enchants and not enough energy...and Essence Bond wasn't spitting energy back to me as I would have liked. So I came up with this. Cheap and versitile. Not to mention helpful in more than healing.

Can I get some thought's on this?

Word of Healing
Dwayna's Kiss
Osiron of Healing
Symbol of Wrath (to scatter enemies that come after me)
Smite Hex
Mend Ailment
Divine Boon
Rebirth

Nothing more than 5 Energy, low casting/recharge times, Hex and Condition removal. I can heal myself and remove conditions from myself, I have good energy regen, and the boost from Boon packs a wallop for healing.

Attributes:

Divine: 9 + 1
Healing: 11 + 3
Smiting: 8 + 4
Prot: 8 + 1

Using Brohn's Holy Rod and the 20/20 Healing Focus from the collector in Snake Dance.

You might run out of energy in intense situations since you have no e-management (and are using divine boon)

Ditch Symbol of Wrath for Channeling or something. If you want enemies to stop attacking you, run some until they find a new target.

I would suggest:

Replace boon with Essence Bond (I know you said you didn't like it, but seriously try again, you also where maintaining 2 enchantments).

Replace Symbol Of Wrath With Healing Seed, the Power of the seed is 2nd to NONE.

Take points out of smiting and put them into heal / divine favor.. Smite hex is great, and don't require any points in smite to work (cept for the dmg part).

Drop smiting altogether. It might look attractive because of smite hex, but the recharge of that skill sucks. Take Remove Hex, it has a faster recharge and is an unlinked skill. Don't bother with Symbol of Wrath, it just means you will stand there for 2 seconds getting pounded and not healing.

Divine 12+3+1=16
Healing -as much as you can fit after maxing Divine +1
Prot -the few remaining points +1

1.Mend Ailment/Mend Condition
2.Dwayna's Kiss/Infuse Health
3.Reversal of Fortune
4.Remove Hex
5.Word of Healing {Elite}
6.Healing Touch (For yourself, typically)
7.Divine Boon
8.Res Spell

This is a pretty standard fare PvE build that works well in most areas and is easy to play. The alternate skills somewhat depend on the area and your party members. Hex heavy areas and lots of enchants? Dwayna's. Not many hexes and enchants? Infuse.

Infuse is fun too for party members who don't know the power of the skill. I have often had people yell, "Heal Me!!" because I let them dip below half health. I'll say, "OK" and wait for them to dip lower. At the last moment (remember the short 1/4 second cast) hit 'em with Infuse and max them in one cast.

Divine Boon makes you heal for more points at a lower frequency. If you drop Boon, you will have more energy to heal often. I find that frequent healing in PvE is more helpful than spike healing. Heal Other is a good alternative to WoH if you decide to drop Boon.

If you decide to keep Boon, I recommend changing your secondary to Mes or Nec and dropping WoH. Mantra of Recall [E] and Offering of Blood [E] are much better energy management solutions to counter the reduced energy regen from Boon.

Smite Hex has a slow recharge. Remove Hex has a very slow cast time. I recommend Holy Veil for hex removal. You don't need to maintain Holy Veil. Simply cast and remove immediatly to take hexes off.

Glyph of Lesser Energy is not very helpful with low-cost spells. I don't even think Glyph of Energy is a viable solution for a healing monk.

I don't like Dwayna's Kiss for PvE because I can't use that on myself, and it seems slow to cast.

Here is a healer build that I like to use in PvE:

Mo/N
10 Blood
11+3+1 Healing
10+1 Divine

1. Offering of Blood [E] (fast energy source on-demand, decent recharge)
2. Vampyric Gaze (health recovery & damage dealer) or Healing Touch
3. Heal Party (great for walking through fire or poison)
4. Heal Other (good for healing spike damage once in a while)
5. Orison (frequent heals)
6. Mend Ailment (cond removal)
7. Holy Veil (hex removal)
8. Rebirth or Rez sig

Using Brohn's Holy Rod and the 20/20 Healing Focus from the collector in Snake Dance. Well you are mixing smiting with healing. Its not really a good idea since smiting works better with either prot or perhaps a more aggresive line. Drop out the prot line. you only want it to make use of Mend even using small points there can help. Instead of smiting I heard you where Mo/E so drop smiting and bring either earth line or water line both have some nifty skills to help you out such as Swirling Aura, Armor of Mist, Ward of Melee, Ward of Foes. This will give you some defense. If I where Mo/E id go something like this:

Word of Healing/Orison of Healing/Healing Touch/Heal Party/Healing Seed/Rebirth/Ward Against Foes/Ward Against Melee

You have a lot of healing output and nothing to consume your energy regen. The only costly spells would be Healing Seed which you will be dropping on a tank or squishy target. The wards are useful whether you are agrod or not, specially in a group with various casters. Heal Party can be brought for Heal Area or Divine Healing whichever you prefer. And Rebirth with a few points in prot will do its work.

I like to run high Divine, though, because it makes any skill a decent heal. When I run high healing prayers, I tend to overheal too much which is a slight waste of energy.

If I find myself in a situation that more casts is appropriate, I will cancel Boon to recoup energy for more casts. Boon is only 5 energy to recast so it's not a burden to reapply if I feel it's necessary.

That's not to say my advice is the best, it just works well for my playstyle.
