Since the update, no more smooth text?

Before the update all my text was smooth and easy to read. Now it is sharp and doesnt clash well against everything else. Its just preference, but how can I fix this. Does the 3x AA feature that they took away is that the reason its like this?

Turn on any AA (perfer 2x or higer) options you have

Doesnt help. Now I am definetly thinking this is because of Quincux or w/e it is.

Since a few days (that I've noticed...), anti-aliasing doesn't work for me in certain areas, while it does in others. Perhaps you have the same problem, does it happen everywhere or just in a few areas?
