Daggers Vs. Swords?

Which has the faster attack speed, (has this news even been realesed yet?)
If so by how much,(c'mon math nerds, help all us IW users out^^)

If not , well i guess this is pointless, cant find it mentioned anywheres

Also, does anyone know the real dagger damage?
7-17 per and since you dual weild them, does that mean 7-17 for 1 or both?
if you dual wield with 2xdaggers with a dual strike on both thats four attack....
a minumum of 28 damage and a maximum of ALOT, grr i cant wait for the FPE to answer this!

Daggers (as a pair = single weapon) have the same base attack speed as a sword or axe. They have a chance to dual strike (so two attacks at same time instead of one) based on your Dagger Mastery attribute. This effectively means that higher Dagger Master = higher attack rate, as each dual strike is an extra attack. If, for example, your chance to dual strike was 25%, then it would (over time) be the equivalent of a 25% increased attack rate.

Note that as IAS abilities no longer stack, this gives Daggers users a unique way of having the fastest possible number of attacks, and as such the base damage is correspondingly low.

If anybody is still confused over the whole attack rate/dual strike thing, think of it as attacking with one just dagger with damage of 7-17, but if you are skilled enough, you sometimes manage to attack with the other one aswell. If you think this makes the damage sound quite low then, well, you're right, but Assassins won't live or die based on vanilla attacks, but in their skills and stacked abilities.

daggers are no better with IW than swords.
