Existing Characters

So tomorrow can we bring our already level 20 characters into Cantha because when I read it said I couldn't? And I do not have an extra slot

So can anyone verify this?

No you can not use your existing characters. just send yourself an invite, setup a new account with that key to try the preview.

Didn't the official news say you can use any ascended character for the event? I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure that's what I read...
