Should they add MMO combat places where Killstealing and spawnkilling is available but the good thing is it gives u a little MMO "feel" instead of having server feel. And probably a good place to get friends and wait for friends... And maybe make these have a little loot so u dont have to go in to servers to get gold.. ofcourse loot in these areas are far less. Its also great to ahve themes in these Places lets say ranged theme, so every1 gets a bow and shoot. Of course this is a great feature to add to chapters cuz it might delay the release if they do it

No. I like GW because it's not the traditional MMO, and I'd like to keep it that way.

Thank you. Thank you for reminding me why PvP MMOs are so toss (apart from you, Neocron, you sexy manly man). Guild Wars is trying to escape these tired, fun-killing clichés. Being "ganked" while a group of fifty people all scream "LOL U NIBS" over zone chat? Oh piss, that sounds so fun! Sign me up!

haha, yeah the idea of Guildwars was to be different, if you want to go kill stealing with loads of others, go back to WoW! So please, as you Poll suggests, keep suggestions original and fresh, oh and popular suggestions go down well too.....

And completely undermine the efforts made to prevent PKing?

No thanks.

There's actually a thread exactly like this in the questions and answers section. Just so I will avoid copying and pasting my entire argument about why doing this would completely undermine the foundamental basis of the game, here is the link.

So.. like Scapes said.. No thank you. For further reasons why, read that other thread.

Not having MMO combat places is what makes this game unique to the 'traditional MMORPG' so why would they put it in?

I must say I am shocked and appalled by the responses to this man's question. For seriously, who wouldn't want to level up to level 293 and then get the phattttestt loot evar while being ganked by hackers who went up to level 294! Shocked and appalled!

I hope to god you were joking right there. Because that was just plain scary.

I think the poll speaks for itself.

I don't see how it would hurt, really. He's not saying replace half the missions for it, is he? If you don't like it, don't play it.

personally i think a little diversity = fun

Between sharded servers & instanced play, i'd prefer sharded servers. Problem is sharded servers usually come with a monthly fee

OK, first of all your whishes will never come true. First of all, a high majority does not support it, second ArenaNet needs to focus on more important/better things like chat.

Another thing, is GW was designed to not have that.

The whole idea of adding combat places is like saying, "Let's make GW like every other MMO ever created." ArenaNet doesn't like it, the players don't like it. The people that do are the people that are to used to everything else and can't comprehend the fact that this is better.

Tuon, this game is not for you. Go play World of Warcrap.

Interesting point. The only one you make, but it's worth looking at a little

For a start, i'll have to say I disagree with the original poster when he mentions killstealing & spawncamping or whatever. Lets look at what we do have for pve so far, though

The creatures are not "smart." It's really no challenge/fun fighting one group of lvl 9 creatures and the only way arena can make it harder is by adding more hps to the units & adding more units. It's boring is what it is. I couldn't help much with getting past wilds last beta on my n/mo, but i switched to my e/me and the improvement was crazy. All I had to do is move up, single handedly cast earthquake/aftershock or dual maelstorm and everything drops.

Then i come to forums and hear about groups like thefianna having 80 some min of back-forth fighting.

So what? Should I give up on pve since it's fking boring & repetitive? Reminds me of a post I read some time ago complaining about grind - doing it once is pve. Doing it every single time you want to test out a build is grind.

Personally I'd really like it if missions had some pvp in them. Like that mission where you have to race the white mantle for the crystals thing - didn't pay too much attention. It wouldn't be hard to make something like that with 2 teams going vs each other. The goals don't have to be kill the other team.

For a supposed MMO, (which btw they don't even claim to be) only meeting 8 people per repetitive mission gets really boring really fast.

Of course, like you say, this will probably never be implemented. I'll just play pvp when it comes out, maybe go back to warcraft3 when it gets boring & wait for the first free mmo. It's bound to come out sooner or later.

I didn't vote because there was no "other" option.

I really enjoy massively multiplayer chaotic battles with tons of people. But in Guild Wars, a free for all concept would simply NOT work. It would be imbalanced and so on. So I think the coolest way to do this would be having multiple teams of 4. In the tombs you can have up to somewhere around 6 teams of 8. Why not have 12 teams of 4 all fighting in a very basic arena (giant circle with spawns cut into the walls and no obstructions for people to hide behind until they can kill the other weaker teams). It would be really cool to have a time limited sort of battle this way and the team with the most kills or captures of whatever wins.

Well if you think it's so boring and you like W3, then why are you even playing?

Seconds, PvE never gets boring. I couldn't give a damn about my health bar, I care about how good of a player I am and what my skills are. This is the whole reason Guild Wars was made. If you don't like it then go away, your just hurting us with your ranting about things that will never and shouldn't come.

I really am annoyed by the people who can't understand that Guild Wars is a new kind of MMO and isn't here to be a follower, but to be a leader in it's industry. And after GW is a sucess, many other great MMOs will suceed it.
