Oh and if you're about bows, just type "/bow" to activate the emote - no need to thank me now!

Sticking with the title of the thread...

Bows are made of wood generally, although in this game sometimes they are made of bones and sometimes weird floaty things. They shoot these little sharp things called arrows, where occasionally there is a glitch that sticks an arrow to your hand. It looks very funny.

In real life you can get bows made of metal, and they shoot really far. They are cool.

The max damage for a bow is 15-28. Vamp mods go up to 5 on them. There are no beast mastery bows... or any bows other than marksmanship bows. The reason is because of the different classes of bows. There are many different bows with many different ranges... I'll leave it up to you to figure those you :-).

Ok... I'm done.

What to do with a bow... let me think. Hmmm....

Well, Barrage is a pretty neat skill, but kind of a waste when you're not facing a closely knit mob. Apply poison is fun, and if you haven't discovered "Ignite Arrows" you have been missing out! OH! Interrupts - those are great fun! Got a Hydra wanting to drop a Meteor Shower on your head? Pop him with "Distracting Shot" - you won't have to worry about him doing that for a while! Or you cold hit him with "Concussion Shot" -that'll REALLY mess him up!

The thing to remember in GW is that it's not all about killing the baddies. It's also about not letting the baddies kill you!

When I'm questing with my Pet, I often take Call of Haste so she can go nuts on the baddies.

Id recommend taking flare and firestorm and spamming flare while firestorm recharges. You'll need the fire armor (drakescale) to match the skills you are using. Equipment-wise a Sephis Axe seems sensible. And for your elite take oath shot (when you've capped it) so you can pwn with firestorm again and again...

I am hoping that in Factions I will have better skills other than Barrage, which is my current favorite damage skill, to inflict massive damage upon my enemies.

I am not complaining here, I would just like more alternatives with which I may mix it up with my pet wolf named Very Hungry. The poor furry guy wants me to have more powerful bow attacks to help quickly dispatch our enemies.

You have many high damage skills to choose from already. I, too, hope that we will get more to choose from. Don't worry, I am sure we will.

I was not referring to your linguistic proficience. My admiration was for your patience. (Come to think of it, 3 year old daughter explains that too.)

Now if a mod would be kind enough to edit my translation into the opening post and delete all the other flames and off topic replies, this post may stand a chance as the OP intended.

As I said, you really are a saint. You brought me *this* close to being ashamed of my off-topic flames. However, stating the OP's question coherently should be their job, not yours or a mod's. I really admired your unreserved willingness to help to that OP and I'm not being sarcastic when I say this.
