Battle For My Soul {Poem}

Deep inside me, in my heart, in my soul, theres a demon tyring to break free.

My soul is trying to break free, from his dark embrace. My mind is slipping away in the darkness, my mind can't take it away!

He whispers dark secerts and all his dreams in my ear. I try to pull away but he grabs my mind and pulls me closer.

His claws dig deeper in my heart and soul! I scream "Get Out" but he laughs in my face. "Your efforts in vain" he saids!

My eyes burn red with hate, his preasence in my soul. I scream "Get out" but he laughs in my face.

I fall to my knees, the battle lost. Tears fall from my eyes, his laugher echoing in my head. I close my eyes, and look into the sky. My hands come togather and I bow my head. I whisper my final weapon...a silent prayer.

My pride and dignitiy washed away by my fears. Wings of an angel hug my soul, a warm vocie saids "You are save."

The demon's grip melts away, my soul and mind calm. I look up once more as tears fall from my eyes. A realization swept over me as I whispered.
"I found what I lost...my faith."

Wow. This is really good. I can almost imagine a song to this, the lyrics flow quite well!

Thanks when I wrote it I kind of imagined it as a song.
