How do you "become" a Luxon or Kurzick? I thought if you were a Luxon or Kurzick that you could only do Luxon or Kurzick missions/quests...

play the game mate. you can do missions/quests on both sides. rewards are in faction, more faction for 1 side gives you access to NPCs, villages etc.

My whole guild of about 500 or so joined the Luxons. Funny thing is that we we thinking the same thing about you guys because it said there was no opposing force or something.

Good question, the only answer is because of the similarity of the name with the dumbest Farscape race/characters in existance. I thought everyone knew that. Sheeesh.

actually, i think what puts people off is that if they havent chosen the side they want in the marketplace from the main guy (Mhenlos buddy)
they cant get into the Luxon areas....
where as if they havent chosen a side quest yet they can still get into the first few Kurzic areas as a neut...
i ended up going onto my old PvP froob weekend account, cause i didnt want to mess things up on my main by starting kurzon/luxon faction quests...
(and is it true that so long as you dont cash in you faction points with one faction, you dont loose faction with the other....? what about this, can you just pass between the two faction sides without *actually* taking a side as such, by not allying your guild ect..?
so, simply *doing* a quest for one side dosent make you theirs, only if you say, find the little bloke that has Permenent Alliance with *side* above his head?

i personally am planning on doing every single quest for every side that i can until the beta ends, just because i'm cool like that. the preorder weapons are far superior to the ones you start with, imho. i found some almost max dmg daggers that i want to identify, so i am doing all the quests that give you gold because the drop rates on the monsters are not the best... i sold every non-ident item i got. i also got a rune drop that i need to ident and salvage, woo.
i personally love the game. very much. and intend to play play play my heart out.
btw, the assassin starting items look like skewers. what's up with that?
and another thing for thinking about! when i first went to get my secondary proffesion, it didn't change it on the party window until we got to the kurzick town and mapped back to go to the luxon one. anybody else encounter this glitch?
another point to make! (you must all hate me now) the assassin's divine aura only moves in sync with 1 of the hands when doing the female dance. i understand that they were made to look like shuriken, but the right hand doesn't have one, it just floats there.

I think I'm gona be Luxon because I like turtles. But, I'm at work right now and have to wait and see...

The reason us Luxon are not showing up is because of one of two reasons:
a) We're at work, (like me,) school or wherever.
b) Being pirates, we prefer to fight amongst ourselves, say YARRR lots and chase wenches. Hence, you dont actually see us in the arenas
Oh and we likes a good bit of Ale too

It seemed to me (before I left for work- i'm just posting while waiting for a software download) that the Luxons embodied the assassin-esque aura of stealth and all that good stuff, while the Kurzicks are more spiritual and tend to leen more towards the ritualist views. Coincidence?

I found that Luxons quit prematurely....Also, in the Alliance battles, Kurzicks kick ass. The last battle I fought before going to school ended 508-70ish.
It might be because K comes before L, and if you initially accept both quests in the Market, you'll end up doing the K quest first if you just start doing them, like any player who has no clue about the two sides would.
Knowing this, I went Luxon and found I was EXTREMELY disadvantaged... especially when my entire group quit on me because they're all nooblets or something... so, I went Kurzick.

well, i done a few luxon bits, and they seem to value strenght and fighting ability over inteligence and other *they say it* artsy fartsy stuff....
so realy, the wamo comunity should all be going luxon ^^

btw, if u compare the environment in luxon area and kurzick area u will find out they are much different difficulty "lvls".
u can even run through luxon area without a good runner-build.
