How to start PvP'ing?

Yeah, played Factions pve for awhile. But now I really wanna hop into pvp. When I create a Cantha pvp character, it takes me back to tyria. Where is all the cool pvp stuff?

Did it take you to the battle isles? That is the PvP area and is accessable by both Factions and Prophecies.

As far as I know, the only new PVP a PVP-character can access is the Alliance Battles, which are accessible via your Guild Hall.
