i dont understand the diff brands of nvidia (pny,bfg,apollo.asus, etc) why is this cus ati just has ati cards. is there a certain kind of nvidia card that is better. please explain.

Yes tomshardware is a great source. But take into mind that Anet worked with ATI in the game development so this game is optimized for their cards.
Other games work better with Nvidia cards.

if you are thinking of buying a card also chech some reviews of that manufacturers card as well as how long the warranty is along with how long the company has been in business

the warranty on my leadtec card is 3 years and they allow overclocking as well
