I made a Necro for the Chapter 2 preview weekend
event. One of the skills you start off with is a Soul Reaping Elite skill.
Called Icy Veins. It's a Elite Hexed spell Target foe is struck for 53 cold damage. For 23 seconds. If target foe dies all near by foes are struck for 68 cold dmg.

hmm...slap it on a cluster of enemies for a chain reaction effect perhaps?

Icy Vein kicks ass...
Is not bad. And only cost 5 energy to cast.

Sounds very good to me! Imagine you cast it on a weak pet (against IWAY team?). The chain reaction begins without the need to fight for corpses!

Sounds cool...I'm not sure what it has to do with soul reaping, but I guess I'll take it. I always thought soul reaping would be an self-buff oriented attribute line

The funny thing is, if you run 16 Soul Reaping to max it out you're getting more energy than you could possibly know what to do with every time something dies You could easily Arcane Echo it or something and just not care about the cost once that chain reaction starts

As far as what this has to do with SR, I was originaly expecting self-buff skills insted of damage, but I see the connection in the sense that it's a skill that gives it desired effect when the target dies, just like you get the inherent SR effect only when something dies. And not only that, it contributes to a lot of other things dying as well.

Wail of Doom {E} (15e, 1/4s cast, 15s recast)

"Sacrifice 10% Health, and target foe is interrupted. If target foe was attacking, all of that foe's attack skills are disabled for 5...17 seconds."

Combine with Shadow of Fear and/or Faintheartedness for savage Warrior / Ranger / Assassin hate
