And I guess that it started to bum me out a little. I checked out the preview event today and yes you had to download some stuff to update it, but all in all It took me around 2-5 mins total depending on where I was going. But it was totally worth the wait. I got to check out some cool new spells and characters. I got to use some cool new henchmen. Explore a cool new continent. All for free.
I liked the faces of the character I built (Ritualist, Female). I thought it was cool that they went a little further with the face expressions (open mouths) and overall was impressed in general. Just good art, for me.
I haven't got to try the PvP stuff yet, but if it's half of what they said it was going to be then it should be good too.
I like the new dances. Really good job with them.
From a development standpoint Anet is getting better, more thought out design. And they were great before.
And for all the people that are upset cause they are only getting part of a game to play for the preview, well... What did you expect. How many other big name games have you downloaded a demo for that let you do everything? Personally I have always only gotten a couple levels or so per demo. That's what it's all about, something to entice you to purchase the game. Maybe if they called it a demo day instead of a preview it would make more sense to some people. hehe.
There will probably be some posts about this, if not already, but...There will most definately be some balancing issues to iron out. That's what comes with any PvP game, RPG or FPS or anything in between. It will be worked out.
The biggest bummer is that the majority of people that enjoy it are either playing it right now or don't usually come to the forums to report "good" experiences. I wouldn't be here either if I didn't catch a thread title that caught my eye on the main page. Hell, if I didn't have to work or travel to night I would be geeking out on the game right now. hehe.
Hope the ones that are disapointed right now will give it some more time before they make a decision. If not, well I hope you find what you're looking for. GW never has been and never will be for everyone. Niether will any other game.

Well, I like it. I can't wait to spend some real time with the new options for a character, I love what I have seen so far. I am excited to get into more of the story line. I can't wait to choose a side for faction
