This is great! New MM chest and legs, Arm Scar and Bloodstained Boots seems to me to soon be the perfect MM armor. Wouldn't you all agree?

Nice for the stats... have to see if it looks good thought too. Can't be running around with a bunch of shambling dead bodies and not look good. The ladies will never talk to you!

I checked it out in the PVP screen and it looks pretty cool. Might have to ditch FoW Scar's Chest and Leggings for MM.

Not too impressed, 70 armor when you have 3 or more minnions, Necrotic/Tormentor has 70 to, but increased damage from Holy attacks.

Guess its the case of, what is more likely to happen, you suffering from Holy attacks or you taking damage when you have a bunch of minnions? You shouldnt be taking a lot of damage when you have a bunch of minnions up anyway.

Energy for Armor tradeoff. I'll take the energy and use Dark Bond in place of the armor.

However, I could be missing something here. It wouldn't be the first time.

Good point. I use scars and switch to Necrotic if I'm catching aggro. In UW and Tombs, Holy damage is prominant.

My Necro's FoW armor is currently set up as Necrotic Chest for the 70AL and the rest scars for energy, and after seeing the new armors (stats and looks), I think I'll be sticking with it.

The new MM armor is pretty awful. Necros need high max energy more than any other class -- the more expensive your spells are and the more often you manage your energy, the more you benefit from having a higher max energy. MM necros fit this bill perfectly. Their spells are expensive (Constantly casting 25 energy spells) and they manage their energy all over the place with Soul Reaping. It gives you that much more room to maneuver in.

For this reason, you will never catch me wearing MM armor. Give me scars all day long.

While I'm on topic, is it just me, or does the necro factions armor blow chunks? Not only is the MM armor worse than scars, the +HP armor is very disadvantageous to a high-sacrifice build, and the vs Hexes armor is just worthless. They did really well with the armor for the other classes, but they seemed to have dropped the ball with Necros...

well, just think of your lvl 26 flesh golem as a walking suit of armor

MM armour is pretty damn useless tbh. Tormentors gives 70AL always (least i think thats the Tormentors) but you suffer more holy damage.

The only problem is wherever i've used the MM build there is never holy damage around (purely because that would own the minions so much it'd be useless anyway) so if i was actually gonna drop my scars for that bit more armour, i'd stick with tormentors and get it whatever the weather rather than conditional.

Thanks. I realized the error sometime after posting the query, but left it here in case others were as clueless as me.

I went and bought my necro Necrotic chest and leggings, Bloodstained boots, and scars on the arms. It looks ghastly.

Good point that the max energy level comes into play fairly frequently. Not so much for him yet, however, so I hadn't noticed that in practice; I got him run to Drok's at Level 15, and a Level 15 MM who doesn't have Verata's Sacrifice yet (and hence still benefits a lot from Heal Area) doesn't seem to justify a lot of points in Soul Reaping.
