Getting the Factions Coop Mission to Work.

There is a working Mission in GWF Preview!

So many people stuck at the 0-0 quest, I decided to try making several characters, convinced that if I got my Faction all the way up to 10,000 in a hurry, I could hench the mission.

Well, that doesn't work. That is, the 0-0 missions are locked for the GWF preview event, so stop hanging around in them! We need your help on the missions that DO work (one you'll find on the Luxon side is at the place where you defend whats his name from nine consequitive Kurzzie attacks).

The trick i used to gain Luxon faction fast was to make multiple characters and just do the Faction rewards missions 3 times. That gave me more than enough Faction to speak to the elder in town after you get your reward for the friendship quest and he'll give you a quest for retrieving turtle eggs. Complete that, and you enter...A WORKING GUILD WARS FACTIONS MISSION!

The American Districts are EMPTY as of this post! So get it in gear America! Luxon lovers UNITE!

Update bump. last time I went to the Working Mission, there were 2 more people through in D1 America. Progress, but that makes it--what--5 folks out of the THOUSANDS in game atm??? Come on; get cracking!

What is a '0-0 mission'?

You need X amount of faction to do some missions?

Why would 10k faction allow you to use henchman?

What do I need to do, being Luxon, to get out there with you? I'm still @ the market.

Well, another working mission (in the kurzixk side) is The Eternal Grove.
I was alone there, so naturally I continued this with henchies (love them so far), and the mission is hard :/

First you gotta protect some stuff, that;s the easy part, abd after that is over (preety quick), the real mission begins. You get attacked by some more stuff, alot of it now, few bosses here and there, and well I got pwnd at that time.

The mission is to the south, way south. After you befriend the kurzicks, you will get a quest. Complete it, and you'll arrive at The Eternal Grove.

IMO the 0-0 mission is disabled for the FPE. The only reason why the area is there is so that you can pass through to the next explorable area.

Is there anything left after the Whirlpool quest? It seems like a short sequence and an abrupt end; Elder Oxio or whatever he is doesn't even seem to exist...

He's probably in the area we don't have access to.

Once you get your egg quest then just follow the primary quest/mission line and you'll be at the same place as me.... and then you can give me advice :P

Certainly. Since I didn't want to delete one of my characters (again) for the preview event, i sent myself an invite to the evenet through a second email. This gave me access to four character slots, which I filled up.

Others i spoke to have just used a spare slot in their GWP account and run the through the missions that reward you with Exp and Faction, one example being Protect the Halceon (Luxon mostly in my case, but I've done a lil Kuzzie stuff too) and deleted/remake the toon they want to play, or made another character and gone through again. GWF Faction is the same as Balthazar: it is communal to your characters, so gaining 3,000 for 1 gives 3,000 to all. But you can only do so many quests that give you Faction per character.

That means 1 character will gain only part of the 10,000 Faction needed to complete the Friendship Quest. But 3 Characters running th Faction Quests, gaining 3,500 each, will net you more than enough for each character to complete the Friendship Quest on all of them (again, because Fation is communal). Once you have 10,000 Faction for ALL characters, return to the Eldar (or the Count for Kurzick) and he will give you a Quest rewared. Speaking again will give you a new Quest, as a friend of Luxon/Kurzick that will send you to the wroking Mission.

EDIT:Confirmed. I've tried it several times now; including when the map lines were in favor and against Luxon. It was sending me back to the main town, but now its tossing me back to Leviathain pits. There is an outpost between LP and Whirlpool, east side, but i'm having trouble getting to it.

who do you give the 10000 faction to

For the whirl pool quest, I just speak to the guy to zone to the next area and I just get zoned back to the armory, is this a bug or is that the end of the line. I cant get the quest reward either.

I haven't given my faction to anyone; though there are NPCs (look around the 2 main cities if you want to redeem) that will give you things in exchange. Until you get the mission, I don't suggest trying to give any Faction away. I think you have to have it all first to complete the quest of Friendship.

And yes, I think the Whirlpool is the end of the GWF preview content.

Seafarer's Rest... It's a bit tough, but I managed it with henchies, so it can't be too hard...

Ah, yea, the terrain is a bitch. But you eventually can get the route by process of elimination.
