Device Driver Error

My comp wil randomly shut down with a blue screen and when it loads back p it says there was a device driver error...some ppl tell me its my video card and some say its the Cd drive,,what is it and how can i fix it?

The error message displayed during the blue screen would go a long way to determining if it is a driver issue, and what driver it is.

Else there is always the "shot in the dark" technique wherein you just update drivers for your various hardware one at a time over a period of time to see if the problem goes away.
