im a designer student so i need a mac for my work. now my question is if its possible to play GW with a mac and how does it work with the 1 button mouse they have? is it possible at all to have GW on Mac? is it gonna be in same servr and sme maps as other players?

First, unless it is MAC ONLY software you'd be far better off with a PC. Macs hold no power advantage, only a software one.

As for the mouse, you can actually use any one you want (I reccomend the G5) and it'll be fine.

Some friends and I play on Linux, but past that I dunno. Last I heard it won't come out for Mac.

You're shooting yourself in the foot using that thing. I use most of the same software, I know.

thnks for advice.... the only thing i m worried about is when i actually start working the company might ask to use mac.... but i know it suks.

so no GW for mac heh? that suks...

Most people want it to be Mac-compatible, or they tell you up front. If they don't, assume you can use a PC. In fact, ask, because a high-end PC is cheaper and faster by far than what a Mac can give you.

Or put a PC in a G5 case and fool them. It's been done.

Running Guild Wars on an new Intel Mac should be no problem now. Search online for the hack.

Still no accelerated drivers for the x1600 that is inside the MacBook Pro and iMac. The "hack" isn't something that a normal user would/should try to attempt, as much as they've simplified the process.
