Graphics Card Slow Down.

Ok first things first PCI cards suck. The ATi 9250 256MB PCI card kinda sucks but it's all I could afford. That being said has anyone experienced a significant slow down after making an upgrade? I run Windows XP SP2 with 1.5 GB DDR RAM, P4 3.0 GB. I used to run a PNY Verto GeForce 128 (I forget the number) with no problems. I'm wondering if the drivers are at fault or if the card itself is just intrinsically flawed beyond all hope of redemption.

I bet you have a "brand name" computer, if you got a 3GHz P4 and no AGP slots. What a scam...
Depending upon which Geforce you had, you might have actually downgraded when you bought the ATI card. More memory definitely does not equal a better graphichs card.

4400 128MB card. The new card has two more pipelines than my old one though. Memory doesn't matter so much but pipelines do so it should be a superior card. After researching elsewhere I think it is just a driver conflict issue from where I didn't get everything cleaned out nice and neat.
EDIT: Yup it was a driver conflict between the old NVidia drivers and the new ATi drivers. The damn thing still won't support anti aliasing though but the geometry engines and my god awful high resolution keep the jaggies so small you hardly notice them at all. The lighting and reflections are 100% sharper though and the textures are superb.
