I just bought Guild Wars Collector's Edition, ran install, but then a text: "Connecting to ArenaNet..." comes up. I have waited long time for it to connect there, but no. It just stays there and goes nowhere, and when i close it, it goes off immediately, like it wasn't doing anything... I payed a lot for this game, i really would like to play this game.

Help, people!

Theres a tech section. I would imagine that you have a zillion files to download since the original release, might just take awhile to install. But it should display that you are indeed d/ling files and how many are left.

Not to be a jerk, but you are connected to the internet, right?

I bought the game, do i gotta download files? It's in the installation phase, at the beginning. I can't get to a point where it asks cd-key or anything.

tuperwho, that was my first thought.

Assuming that you are connected to the internet, this sounds like one of 2 problems i've also had. The first was a router problem (built in firewall), and the second time it was my personal firewall, when i got a new router. Try adjusting your firewall settings.

To be sure it was my firewall, i simply switched it off completely, and tried guild wars, and it worked. I then just got the settings for guild wars and my firewall, and set it up properly.

Hope this helps
