Try turning your slide for the Sound Quality down to medium, that fixed it for me, if it goes out agian, repeat the process.

Also go to your sound properties in windows. Trying turning the acceleration settings to the recommended settings.

It works fine for me.

No sounds, even on medium quality or lower? At medium or lower quality settings software mixing is used, which should be pretty compatible. May I ask what kind of audio hardware you have?

I only get full sounds when the slider is all the way to the left (lowest quality?). Using nForce2 with soundstorm.

Once my sound comes back I'm normally able to slide it back up to max or near-max without a problem for awhile It went out one other time while playing last night, but other than that, no problem. Just had to do the quality slide again and it was fine.

But, I do hope whatever is causing this can be fixed, it's a little unnerving not being able ot hear alot of the effects, ne?

I don't understand... If the sound is dropping out at the higher settings, why not just leave it at one of the three lower settings? It sounds like your computer's sound system doesn't like hardware acceleration (the upper two settings).
