Merged: Annoying "Chinese bots" in droks

well its really nice of them to power-lvl for free
but i have to admit that u got less chances to get good grops in certain area if there are many groups farming it... each bot/farmer is a group (of 1 but still a group)... go figure. and its not only gold sephis axes - did u ever stayed in fow long enough for us to lose favor? in 15-20 min after we lose favor shards start raining. or if we still have favor but f/ex its monday and we're entering after 3am est... there are few groups in this area and almost all chests are gold, each mob pack drops at least 1 shard and u can get nice items dropped for u as well. 'overfarming' happens not only when u're entering the same area many times in the row for a short period of time (anti-bot measure i guess) but also when this area is heavily farmed.

How can they be annoying? I think your annoying them cause they been doing that farm job forever, and recently you just got into it.

Many of these so called bots are actually people farming. Try to add them to your party some will join some won't and some will reply when spoken to.

I agree...these so-called "farming bots" are nice people. I blind invited one thinking he was a farming bot so I can get free pwr lvling but it turned out he was a real person. We came across a gold shiverpeak chest in our run and I tried to open it thinking I still had a key left...he saw I didn't have a key and actually gave me one for free.

well yeah chinese people are nuts, they have companys where employes play mmos all day and farm for selling (ebay & co.) i think people like that should be discovered and banned..

ohh i agree that ebayers have to be banned but what if its just a chinese player farming here with his monk in mandatory droks tattoo? u never know... not guilty unless proved othervise so hold ur judgment pls
unfortunately i cant speak chinese at all. alot of chinese farmers cant speak english -and when i'm saying "WBT gold necro weapons with death req" in droks 1 during daytime or auguri 1, all i'm getting is quite a few gold un-id swords offered to me in like 5 min from chars with asian names... but thats my problem and i'm not going to blame them that they prefer to speak their native lang and stick to other chinese farmers/players...

Dont believe my eyes i was standing in Droks dis 2 at doorway to talus chute in a space of 15 mins i witnessed over 300 chinese/korean bots running outside.
Well i have read the licence aggreement of game and STATES: if a player is caught with a bot his/her account will be banned.
Omg 300 bots in 15 mins is anet in on the deal with these bots.
You get caught buying gold from these bots on ebay your account is banned ,but they let these bots run amuck and noone does anything,SHAME on you Anet.
Let the CHEATS prosper while us genuine players have to suffer.

We all just pointed out they aren't all bots...I think maybe you should read a tad.

Games like this should only be distributed in countries that allow the software manufacturer to pursue legal action against people who violate the EULA. Some countries actually do not consider the EULA binding and therefore not subject to enforcement through civil action.

i dont know, but i really hope Anet doesnt end up nerfing the troll cave (even though its not that good its still a great wood/ parchment resource)

I don't see anyone w/ chinese characters in their names in US servers, unless you count all the white boys naming themselves after asian characters then maybe you're right. If you go into international district, then yeah, I don't really mind w/ the subtle racism here, although it sounds incredibly ignorant and I'm just pointing that out.

I talked to one of the Chinese farmer a few weeks ago. They are not bots, just some poor small town Chinese/Korean kids that got paid 30-50 cents per hour to farm gold for their boss. I don't think you understand how hard the life in third world. We play games for fun, they play games for living.... I feel kind of sad for them........

legit people farming for thier own accounts = good
bot or sweat shop farmers farming to sell on Ebay or whatever else = bad

problem is, how do you stop one, without stopping the other as well ? therein lies the problem

the only solution is for the community to stop buying from these people .. but with so many high dollar items in the game and people that dont have endless hours to devote to farming, that isnt likely either

so ill just sit here content in the knolwedge that ill never had a HoD sword, or FoW armor .. and i can live with that, the problem is many others cannot
