like early man, u could divide this community into hunters vs gatherers.
Some play GW to collect (gather) items and get their uber equipment, cash, and online status. But, im glad to see GW has at least tried in the later stages of the game to make the process of questing (hunting) something you can enjoy, not just a means to an ends (often called "la grind").
They have done this by making some of the missions more of an interesting challenge to your tactical and cooperative skillz, and not so much of the mindless sprint through to the hack 'n slash of early missions.
and i say thank god, cuz while i like finding new items as much of the next guy, i really play this game for the social, tactical, and cooperative elements.
what say you? are you a hunter or a gatherer? and how can we get GW to make the game even more focused on the process of questing as a source of challenging entertainment?
Reward VS Process....what do you play for?

Define Hunter and Gatherer.

I like playing the game simply because it's fun to play. I especially like that you can essentially rebuild your character at any time which keeps things fresh and interesting. I do wish the gear was a little more diverse and interesting, or at least the appearance of items and clothing was randomized to prevent everybody looking like clones, but this is a minor complaint

I'm a hunter, I like to wear things that I won in combat.
I don't criticize people who bought their stuff, that's a fair part of the game but for me part of the thrill is knowing I won the stuff I'm wearing. You can't wear your armor of course, but I didn't trade up for the stuff, I got it from killing.
I'm glad to hear missions get better. My friend and I kinda made an unspoken pact to try and get to areas on our own before we unlock them with the missions. It makes an area feel like you really earned it when you die trying to get there. I've yet to die in a mission but hopefully soon.
I'm a PvE and PvP player, just haven't gotten to the high end PvP yet.
