Right now, I'm so bloody pissed. The thing is like this:
I needed to cap Restore Condition for my monk, so I grabbed the Henchies and went off. Abbadon's Mouth.
It was really hard to get through the stronghold, and once I got through - the time had flown away.
The Monk boss with Restore Condition is a Spider and is located in the "non-mursaat" areas of the mission. After some heave struggle, I managed to get there.
Now I thought; "Let's kill this noob so I can go to sleep". So I searched for my little spider, but... THE BLOODY RAPEIST NOOB BOSS DIDN'T SPAWN! I cleared the whole area. The boss wasn't there where it should be. WHY? You have no idea how mad I was. I'm still pissed as hell, and I want to smash something.
I've just wasted nearly 2 hours trying to cap an important skill for me.
I've experienced that some bosses won't spawn at Perdition, for instance. But that place is NOT a mission!! You can just portal it and similar.
Abbadon's Mouth is a friggin' mission, and you'll have to do it ALL over again. So, why won't they let the bosses spawn all the time on the missions, then????
ARGH.
Great. The boss didn't show up.

thats why they are elite skills, if they are easy to get, they might as well sell em in town heh

I had to do ring of fire 6 times last night before the mesmer wind rider boss spawned, with henches, I was getting mad as well. It was always the monk boss, over and over and over... finally I started grabbing keys so I wouldn't feel like I wasted my time.

actually there are two more locations where he could be... problem is that you would have to fight thru hordes spiders and imps to get there. That is what I did when i was getting my fevered dreams. Can not tell you how pissed I was trying to pull henchies out of dozen meteor showers for like tenth time in a row...

hm you sure seem frustrated playing a game that is fun. I've had to repeat the Ring of Fire island a few times looking for my cap. And enjoyed it all.
Even if the boss didn't spawn, I enjoyed the combat. Maybe got some decent drops, stuff I could sell to merchant and collector, get a little richer. It's all good.
Find an elite caps map and you'll find where you need to go faster. Do keep in mind that in the Ring of Fire, some of the bosses have very wide patrol patterns and they may not be in one spot even if they did spawn at the correct point.
And take a break, relax a little, drink a beer, and enjoy!

Welcome to skill capping, better luck next time.
I have spent many hours as Im sure many others have. Thats just part of the hunt, if the bosses spawned everytime in the same place(there are a few that do), well Im certain we would be deluged with 'Skill Runners', running people to the bosses and killing them just another reason to charge someone gold to get something/somewhere. Hopefully nobody gets any bright ideas.lol.

I guess I was sort of lucky when I brought the henchies to cap that SOB. The boss spawned on the first go!
Funny story about skill capping: A guildie and I were going through the Ring of Fire mission to cap Aura of Faith from Coventina the Matron. We had 6 henchies with us. Anyways, Coventina spawned in the mursaat tower area you usually run past to get to the cinematic where Khilbron advices you not to attack the front gate. Her spawning at this place was not a blessing...First off, we killed everything under the tower except the seal and Coventina. We had some troubles with dying henchies etc., so I ran to the cinematic so they'd get resed and to start killing her from scratch. We ran and tried to aggro her, and we pulled her out of the seal's reach so we wouldn't die. Then Cynn suddenly got the bright idea to cast fire storm, causing the effing monk boss to run into the seal's reach, thus killing most of the henchies...this happened a few times until we let Cynn die. The downside of having Cynn dead was that we were dealing VERY little damage compared to Coventina's heals...we ended up spending about 20 mins killing her...I've never actually danced on the dead body of a boss before. Oh, and we danced on Cynn's body as well.
