PVP characters in Alliance Battles?

I can't find anyone else talking about this...

Just to be sure that I'm not missing anything - there's no way to get a PVP character into the 12v12 Alliance battles, is there?

Yes there is a way to get PVP chars in there. Just create your character. Go to your guildhall and talk to one of the alliance battles guys. and viola you are there.

it can even be done with PvE chars, though you cannot trade with FPE chars so theres no way to transfer those leet collector goodies

Didn't think of that.

I guess I should've expected that it would require you to be in a guild and have picked a side and all that.
