Heal Minions with Heal Party?

Could anyone with actual experience answer if using Heal Party (or other not "targeted" heals) will also heal minions (and pets)?

I am pretty sure that "targeted' heals do and since pets show on the team roster, I expect them to be healed. It's those degenerating dead things that I have the question about.

Trying to find the best way to keep as many alive for as long as possible. Sometimes bodies are hard to find and you can't kill your teammates to make them.

Well.....I know for certain that a monk henchman will heal and attempt to keep alive a minion......unsuccessfully though. And I am fairly certain that group heals do not land on the minions......wasn't paying enough attention to see if it did on the pet ...though I would think it did.

Minions aren't party members.
Use Heal Area, it's the best minion heal.

You can attempt to heal your minions and with a monk to be continuosly healing them, but after awhile your minions degeneration rate drops way to quickly to the point where they are gone within 3 seconds after you heal them to full health. However yes you can heal minions with monk skills and your own necromancer skills such as blood is master (is that the skill name I forgot?)

I was under the impression that the degeneration rate was fixed and based on the total number of minions. Is this incorrect?

As far as pets go.... They show up on the party menu as part of the party. Yes they will be healed. Over the last BWE my monk henchman( actually henchwoman considering the npc is female) continuously and variably healed my pet as needed. So it would be safe to say that the monk player could as well.

Oh yeah that and the skill Blood of the Master. Ehe so there is two skills. Oh well I never knew there was a problem with the degeneration bug. It never bothered me nor did I knew how it correctly work.

I know that Heal Party does not heal minions, and I'm not positive, but I don't think it affects pets either. I know it doesn't work on NPC's who are in your party menu, such as the guild lord in a GvG battle, or Ghostly Hero in tombs. You can heal any friendly creature using directed heal spells, or use spells like Heal Area to heal anything. For healing minions, you'll need to heal them either using directed heals or heal area, though- they don't count as party members. You can also heal them using the Necromancer skills Blood of the Master and Verata's Sacrifice.

Greentongue- the health degeneration on minions has no relation to how many minions you have. It is based on how long that minion has been alive- it starts to lose health faster the longer it stays alive. You can keep minions alive through a couple battles, but the longer you try to heal them, the harder it gets. I find that taking death nova along, and once something starts getting difficult to keep around, throw death nova on it and let it die with a bang. Unless you're fighting the undead, it's generally not too difficult to find new corpses to raise new minions to replace the ones that you have to let die.

Do you know if the degen rate will exceed -10?

The idea being, use Verata's Sacrifice to bring an old minion to a new battle then Death Nova it. Start the battle with a BANG!

Would be nice if the degen maxed at -10 and you could maintain a couple of minions that way.

I believe the degen continues increasing past -10, though the fastest your minions will ever degenerate life is 20 per second, or 10 pips. This only really comes into play when you use a skill like Verata's Aura or Healing Breeze on your Minions. As it is, I've had minions that didn't really get healed with Verata's Sacrifice, but I've never managed to get them to survive much longer than that- healing them just becomes too much of a hassle.

It's generally possible in PvE to have your minions survive a couple of battles, so long as they don't get focused too heavily in those battles. I'll keep my minions around for 1-2 battles, and when they start becoming difficult to keep alive, I just throw death nova on them, as you said. Keep them alive until they get up to the next group of enemies, and let them die
