What is the coolest thing you have seen to date in Guildwars?
Genosha
I was doing a run by myself below Frost Gate when I came across a valley that was thawing from the snow with tree's on 1 side and just 1 tree on the other. I sat for a second to check out the view when out of nowhere snow fell off the tree . Yeah, you think i'm kidding, but snow fell off a tree as it swayed in the breeze. That was so cool and here I thought that tree's swaying in the breeze was something...

I think the coolest thing i have seen i believe was leaving ascalon city to the south south west and i eventually ran into a huge crysatl in the middle of a lake it was very breath taking my entie party stopped and stared for like 15 seconds.

My favorite moment was to finally see the snowy mountains of Traveler's Vale.

Mutilating Aria's fresh corpse and using it to redecorate my ice cave.

But um.. just to pretend that we're on topic so that Spooky doesn't skin us both.. Genosha, I thought the same thing! The trees in pre-searing Ascalon did sway, I think.. and I did the very exact thing, and just sat there. That and the shadow of the leaves moving across the trunks.. I was in love.

I'd have to say that the coolest thing I've seen is still the first moment I crested that hill when Defending the Wall and caught sight of the massive Charr army. Not the most visually impressive thing in the game, but it had the biggest impact on me.

Gwen was awesome...
Oh, when I finally got out of the Old Ascalon into the mountains, then when I finally got out of the mountains into the green place.

Actually, now that I think about it, the huge impact crater is east of Ascalon City (due east of the Serenity Temple). I'm not sure about one to the southwest. In any case, if you haven't seen the one east of the Serenity Temple, you should make the trip, it's worth it for the view...

Okay I saw you site...LOL I might say that you have seen a lot..Including the Grand canyon....
But being a little off topic. Did you have to do the That's 70's Lynx?
And is that the Crystal that you were talking about?

The coolest thing I've seen? Well, that's an easy one. There are many cool and interesting sites I've seen in my long and sundry ramblings across Tyria but the coolest single moment has to have been that moment I first logged in with my alpha account and popped up right smack dab in the middle of Lion's Arch. My character rendering amid the sight of a gorgeous foutain, it's gentle, watery sound the first to fill my speakers, just behind me and a gigantic, impossibly under-supported ancient castle soaring into the clouds in front of me. That pale, sun-blasted, ivy-coated stone told me that this was a world full of magic and power and ancient and terrible things and that it was all right there just in front of me. Mine to explore and to examine as I wished.
Oh, and then the chat started and it was off to kill Tengu.
But, remember, this was back in October. Back before any BWE. Back before the WPE. Back when the last time I'd played had been months before during E3. Back when no one outside of the test had ever seen Lion's Arch.

IF this were a contest you would win that's Cool....

Easily the coolest thing is the detail; from swaying trees to shadows and snow.
For me, I'd say the fact that you can see your breath when it's cold is definitely cool.

My vote would either have to go with Gwen's Rampage, or the first time that I set foot on our Guild Hall Island (Hunter's Island). The mountains, the streams, the awesome looking moon which provides good backdrops for screenshots...

Gwen's Apocalypse hands down with Rurik in second followed by the searing. As of this time.

Haven't played the game yet, but the coolest thing I've seen is either the screens of Gwen burning stuff or of the bone dragons (I want one as a pet!).

Rangers can learn Charm Animal which gets you a pet that will last forever. It's like a party member, it follows you wherever.

Yeah, I saw that in my travels, that's how I knew it when I saw it. Things like this never seem to stop amazing me. Even some of the pics that I have taken do not cover all that I have seen to date.

I kinda rushed through Pre-Searing Ascalon to get to Post-Searing, and wished I hadn't. Pre-Searing does a FANTASIC job of being a late summer/early fall afternoon in a temperate climate, I could have been walking around in the woods near the house I grew up in.
I say someone should compile a "Tourist's Guide To Ascalon", with screen shots and map references, and all manner of fun stuff. It'd be a fun addition to anyone's fan site. ^_^

That would be a good idea but you would need to have pics from sevral sources. Maybe after release for newbie's

The most satisfying moment for me was DEFINTITELY watching Rurik die...
Of all the characters and scenes I've seen throughout this entire wonderous game, watching the most annoying and ridiculous character dying before my eyes was heaven...
Then he says, "HURRY GO ON WITHOUT ME" which made me just smile even more...
Watching him die is one thing, watching him willingly die is... yeah...

Coolest thing I've seen...I had my ranger/nec and was running about this way and that, unwittingly I had completed a quest and had to go back to town. I was relatively new and didn't know the map system at all, and I thought that using the travel feature would ruin my quest. There I was, lost in the wilderness and needing to go back to town, sitting and pondering what to do, I noticed some footprints in the sand...they were mine!!, and I followed them all the way back to town. How "rangerly" of me it helped with feeling I was "in the game"

Finding a single sun flower in a field of wheat.
I find it extremely cool that some details you can tell are hand placed, as opposed to some other games where everything is generated with a few clicks of a mouse.

Okay the truth now is i'm stumped! When I first started this forum I thought it would be fun to compare notes... 1 Problem... There's to much to compare. Ending the BWE.. Okay who saw that coming? Snow falling from trees? Oh yeah the new 1. Fireflies? and more so i'm gonna say ENJOY THE GAME and remeber things can always change!

I have seen a line of ranger chicks dancing their hoochie dance together, which is second only to the video of Necros I saw dancing in sync to Thriller, as sung by the Infamous Michel Jackson before the sin/nose/children thing.

Divinity coast mission (or the one before), running down the hill at the beginning... turning to look right, and seeing the waves crashing up behind the rocks gushing sea spray everywhere. Me and my buddie spent about 15 minutes just running about the beach in no armor, looking at the coral reefs and sitting in the sand.

The coolest thing hands down that I have ever seen in Guild Wars is coming into the Arid Sea from Skyward drift and seeing that gigantic statue of the chick standing against the skyline. Then when you get there you notice that you can only see the legs then after it makes you cross a bridge you realize that the statue isn't really standing anymore it is fallen over and you are walking across one of its arms and that huge rock ahead of you is really its head. I thought that was really cool.

Now, if only I could do that as well .
In terms of what I found cool... the statue of Dwayna AND her spirit that hangs around the sanitarium, which my Monk always kneels before. {{Little RP there}}.
