whats with extra power supply
staindreality
i was wondering about the extra power supply and now yo do that if you get a card that need it.

Their will be an extra psw spot on the end of the card if it needs it. Also the card spec. will tell you. Most high end ATI cards now require it.

SPECIAL NOTE
unless a splitter cable comes with the card ASSUME that the cable going to the card is dedicated meaning it requires full power from that cable circuit

You need to plug it into one of the cables from you EXISTING psu. You might need a splitter though.

Go to the bottom of the page and look. It has a detailed and blown up view.
You will need a 5v plug like the kind that goes into you harddrive and cd-rom.

the 6600GT does not need the full output and a splitter was included with mine
my power supply had power plugs not being used so i tossed the splitter in my spare parts drawer and used one of the extra plugs
