Well, better be ready to find a new forum now ^.^

I personaly find these to be the best... sometimes i put in something a bit stupid, and i realize it, but i think they are moderated fine. Although some posts dont get closed quick enough(This one's gonna go soon)(maybe they're playing ^.^)

This thread's closed. The Site Feedback forum is a place where we can establish a dialog with our many forum goers. We welcome positive criticism, feedback, and discussion here but it is not a place to, as it were, "air dirty laundry". If you have a problem or a question with something that's been said or done - especially if it involves your thread or post being moderated, this is not the place to discuss it. PM the individual in question, go to a mod if it gets out of hand, and if you find them unresponsive talk to an administrator. If an administrator tells you you're in the wrong, well, sorry but that's the court of last appeal around here, we've got the final say in how things work around here and there's nothing you can do about it but to accept it.

That said, I'd be sorry to see you go but given how intelligent, reasonable, and civil you are, I don't think it's any great loss. We have standards at this site and if you, or anyone else, doesn't like them, you're more than welcome to leave.

As EnDinG says, what you've done goes against the guidelines of the Trade forum and, as such, was certainly subject to moderation as is anything else posted on our boards. And make no mistake, they are our boards and our threads. We allow you to make use of them, we try to make things as easy and conveiniant as possible, and many of our boards and features here have been established to aid people in someway but they remain ours. They are not your threads where you can establish your own rules, they are ours and our standards and our guidelines are in full effect and we can do whatever we like with them.

What EnDinG's did, done, and will hopefully continue to do is to volunteer time, effort, and attention to our sprawling boards in an attempt to enforce those guidelines and uphold those standards so that we're all better off. We have guidelines, we have moderators, and we try to provide as much oversight and moderation to posts on our forums as we possibly can. We're only human so things slip through the cracks from time to time and we cannot guarantee that we're always consistent or even that we can catch everything but I can guarantee that no mod here will ever be allowed to abuse their powers for long. We seek out our moderators, we watch them to make sure they're the sort of person we might like to have on our staff, we seek them out, ask them to help, and continue to watch them after they're made moderators to be sure that they're both comfortable and competant in their given duties. We vet our mods very carefully and we make sure that they go about their duties in a reasoned and deliberate matter. When there are problems, when there are questions, they are discussed and talked about and we move on them together. No one here is on their own and while some of us have different styles and none of us has the right answer in any given situation, we all work to make sure these forums are a safe and free place for discussion. I've looked over EnDinG's actions and the various threads involved and I find him to have done nothing I wouldn't have done. And, in fact, I find that he was far more willing to accomodate a troublesome poser than I would have been.

As for the Trade forum, we're aware that it's a problem and we're working on a solution although it's not ready to be put in place just yet. The board based way of posting and searching for items just isn't robust enough to handle the volume or the interest involved and, like our guild database, we're going to try and find a better way of doing things. That takes time, however, and in the meantime, we have our guidelines in place on the trade forum so that it can at least be a stopgap and provide some use to people and we'll have to ask you all to abide by them and moderate when they aren't followed.
