Randomized Arenas

It would be interesting to see some random arenas to pvp in. I'm not talking about the random rotation of maps that you're put through when you go to team or competition arenas, but maps themselves that are inherently random. I'm talking about various terrain features, like bridges, hills, and rivers that make competitions more exciting.

It wouldn't necessarily be impossible to accomplish. Some general "cookie-cutter" features could be made that all fit together, like 50 foot by 50 foot squares of terrain that can be joined randomly by some formula, similar to the random maps used in games like x-com. These arenas could be easily be streamed.

Sure, it's impractical and will likely never come to pass, but it would still be interesting to see~

Yea, because the information from maps are gonna get put on your pc, and if they're random... That would be alot of useless information getting sent out, since it wont get used ever again... See'n that people all over the world would be Constantly downloading new information, it would probably be quite a strain for a mmorpg...

But im not programmer so someone can correct me if im wrong.

It's not like they'd be sending out entire maps though. The cookie cutter terrain chunks would be already on your pc, the only thing transferred would be the basic layout of them, hopefully.

I dont see why it would be that hard. I mean any decent RTS is one that has randomly generated maps (I hate the ones that are too lazy and only do premade maps). These are done online and there is not a big issue with it. However, I am not a programer and thus dont know the details. But at the same time I know it is something that could be done and not be a too big of a deal.

Seems like too much work just for one match. Perhaps a whole bunch of new arenas?

EDIT: Or even use regular outside maps
