it all depends on a few things, what creatures your killing, what type of items they drop, and how easy it is to farm them,my W/MO usually hunts either riverside province or the first part of the sanctum cay mission and i make around 2k or more if im lucky in under 30 min, just dont salvage anything unless your sure it will give u a rare craft material, also make sure to identify all items, even if theyre wgite, some white items can net u 100+ gold some only 20, but its worth it to use the kit on everything thing since they only cost u like 100 gold, and most items u get in the later missionsare worth at least 30+

I honestly don't see why people have trouble getting money. I made 7k in a day just going through the missions and quests in Kryta. Just sell everything you come across that won't sell to the public. Also, you could try selling crafting materials. Or farm like everyone else does.

Usually you need a x/mo to farm effectively, but I'm sure there's other unique ways to do it too.

It all depends on waht items you get. I've gotten 2 yellow rare's in the same mision before+a purple.

Monk mostly for the smiting, its effecient to kill 9+ level 20 enemies at the same time =)

Level has alot to do with making money too, what level are you? Once you get to the Kryta area and past lvl 10 you start to make gobs more cash.

Trick is to collect enemies in a large group and then strike at them all in the same time.
Like elementalist can attract a large group of highlvl weak monsters and then strike at them.

If you use an ID kit on basic items thier value is usually more than an item that has not been id'ed. For example, A merchant was paying 18gp for a longbow until I id'ed it. Once id'ed the merchange payed 37.

My first character never had a single gold item. The only time one dropped for her was in the Dragon's lair and we zoned before I could pick it up - lol!
That character has basically finished all the game - not ONE gold item.
My second character is totally opposite. Even on an easy Lion's Arch area mission I got 3 GOLD items. Superior runes in them too! In 1 mission mind you!!!!
So it seems totally random to the points whereby a whole players gaming experience with a character can go without a single gold-rare! But someone else is swamped with the things!

Most of the gold that you pick up does not make your money. Since you are splitting the gold between your party members. The best way to get money is to go out in the hardest area and with a full party of henchmen. Grab the gold that that drops and pick up every item. If the item needs identifying, identify it. it will be worth much more than it was. Also, if you find "Highly Salvageable" items, make sure you use and "Expert Salvage Kit". Sometimesyou will get lots of crafting item or, runes.

I usually easily get gold by rushing other characters to towns for an ammount of about 500 gold and i do about 5 towns at once for 500 gold each and i can make about 6k in 2 hrs.

I find that farming the drakes in a couple of the missions to be any easy way for me to make some quick cash... I can also solo it with my Ranger/Necro

At the beggining the best way to make gold in my opinion is salvaging items because you can selll to other players. You can sell iron ingots for 10 gold each very easily, it may not seem like much but if you salvage a lot and get like 100 irons thaats 1 plat right there. For items i find that the later missions and lornars pass give quite a few nice items.
