Blocking a Brick.

As I sort through various guides and threads, I hear about this thing called "Blocking." As a Warrior secondary, I think I should know a little more about Blocking- could anyone educate me as to what it is and how I do it?

Blocking is when you take no damage from an attack. The idea is that you use your shield (hammer, wand or good-looks?) to -block- the attack. The only way to block (that I know of) is through the use of skills, and these are not very numerous and tend to have short durations and strong penalties.
