I checked under the Guides section of this site but it didn't list any of the characteristics for an Ascalon Bow. It had most of the other bows, but not the Ascalon Bow. Does anyone know the flight characteristics for this bow? Ex: flight time, max range, refire rate. thanks

I am not positive (it has been a long while since I've had one) but I think an Ascalon bow is the equivalent of a longbow performance-wise.

Yes, relatively certain I remember it having the same range as my longbow. Haven't had an ascalon bow for a while though.

According to various threads in the forum (mainly the 'Bow types and things' thread) the Ascalon bow is a Long bow, performance-wise (Stole your phrase right there, Lasher ).

But then again, you probably won't find an Ascalon bow that's really good or higher than 9-13 damage and you'll probably switch bows a lot in the beginning.

This article is from Feb so don't know if anything has changed or not.. but should be very helpful in answering your bow questions - http://www.guildwarsguru.com/content...ies-id1092.php

Just noticed the Ascalon Bow is not listed here.. but still may be helpful to some.

Meh, one of the Southern Shiverpeaks collectors gives a 15-28 +15% when enchanted Ascalon Bow. It's fairly usable, though not nearly as good as a shortbow/flatbow/half moon.
