hi!

anyone else annoyed about the limit of 4 characters? there are six professions, and if u want to have at least one character per profession....

another question: going to tournament with a RPG character is the same as with a PvP character?

TIA

Since you have 2 professions per character you really only need 3 characters to use them all.
You'll probably have to reset your attributes and skills going from PvE to PvP because humans don't react the same as monsters but other than that there is no difference.

That's like saying:
Since you can swap your secondary profession later in the game, you only need 1 character!

There is a huge difference between having a class as primary and secondary.

Quite true, lets ask Anet to limit our characters to 1. That'd make the game more challenging.

I do realize the difference I play both a E/Me and a Me/E. The choices are completely different. I'm just tired of people complaining because they only have a limited number of characters.

lets see it like this

i use 2 spots for my pvp chars i need this 2 places to test different stuff out.

2 spots for role play chars is really too less. my 2 role play chars are allready done. i have no possibility to create other characters.

4 spots is too less. but i think this will be changed. thats what we all hope in our guild

since a character takes aprox. 5KB of hard disc space on the gw-servers, it wont be a problem to increase it. i think 8 chars/accout is a good number.

I agree but at the same time, having the limit means I cant' create dozens of alts like I normally do in other games. This is a GOOD thing, since it makes me actually focus on one. *damn altaholism*

Why can't you delete your characters? Are you still playing them? If not then delete them and start new ones.

4 is plenty I feel. I've played a few other online games and with SWG for example you can only have 1 person per server. At least here you can have 4 per server since the entire game population plays together.

If you need more than 4 just buy another copy of the game thats what I did so my family can play together. Much better than the 4 SWG I had to buy and the 4 times 13.95 a month I was paying.

rgr
and why do you need 2 pvp chars to test with? :P
One is enough since it takes all of 3 minutes to remake them and delete them

i agree that there should be a limit, but why 4? i also think that deleting a character at level 20 is.... insane. tons of work in it.

i would be satisfied with 7 slots. then u have 1 for each profession and 1 pvp.

For those saying you only need 1 char, or since you dual class 4 chars is enough its not. The reason being elite skills from primary only skill lines, such as warriros strength. If you want to unlock everything for your account you have little choice but to delete a toon and make another..

Well the game is designed in such a way that it doesn't take much time to complete(comparitively I suppose) so that you may complete everything

actually you can capture elites for your secondary professions I'm a mo/elem and i captured water trident and ether renewal?( energy storage elite)
Also, once you ahve em unlocked you can just recreate your pvp char to take advantage of them.
