I did the Ashes quest last night, but I still have an urn in my inventory.

If I give it to someone else, will it complete the quest for them? Or it is junk?

Someone was trying to sell me one of these last night for 1000g while I was trying to assemble a party to do the quest. Is this a scam, or does it actually work?

AFAIK it's a scam. You can't transfer that to someone else and let them complete the quest.

Ahh, glad I didn't drop the cash then I told him no, cos I wanted to do the quest for myself, and hella difficult as it was, I'm glad I did

so guess I will just dump the spare urn....Odd that I already went and got the reward from Barradin, but I still have one in there.

I know there are some quest you can in pre, like the one for Adien if your a ranger, with the aloe root, I had spare and gave it to a other player and it gave him the skills without doing the quest....he just went and talked to the guy and it gave them....thought that was odd, but it worked. Those things were a pain if you were low lvl,and they bunched up on ya...lol

True, I know you can sell Bear Skins Pre-Searing also. From everything I've read though, the Urn is just a collectors item after you finish. Giving/Selling it won't net you the 2k exp.

Which is good. Althea's Ashes is a hard quest to do, and IMO makes people actually work together and come up with a strategy to finish it. IE not aggroing every damn pack on the map... and focus firing. As you get further into the game, you'll really need to learn some teamwork, or learn the nuances of the Henchmen AI.

Anyways, /rant mode off as I'm not trying to hijack the thread.
