Does Illusionary Weapon affect secondary melee effects?

I know I don't do dmg in melee w/ illusionary weapon but if I use a hit that interrupts a targets action will that still occur?

Unlikely i'm gonna guess, if for example you used pin down or whatever that ranger skill I assume it wouldn't pin them down because your bow/arrow doesn't actually hit them the illusionary weapon does

The example given with Pin Down is silly, because IW only works with melee anyway.

so savage stash would work.... interesting. i will have to give this build another look.

Something I still don't understand is can you have hundred blades and IW on your skillbar... aren't they both elite skills?

I followed the guide on that above link a while back and brought my IW Me/W to lvl18 before being disappointed:

(1) 100 blades is now elite (IW is already elite so thats 50% of dmg potential)
(2) Where the heck are +10% speed, -25% critical hit weapons? -Nobody- has seen them
(3) Anecdotal evidence is : IW is a novelty, and easily shutdownable too

You still can use IW and HB together... just not as easy as before =/

Take hundred blade as elite and use arcane mimicry to copy your IW partner's IW... there goes more HB IW =P

I think it hurts that IW can't interrupt. I know in chasing down a monk interrupts are huge although I can still do it if my IW warrior can drain energy also. IW can be shut down, but I don't notice people breaking my enchant that much. When they do normally I just become a ranged fighter using conjure phantasm and draining energy.
