Several same type runes on one player?

So I went and bought a few runes of soul reaping for my necro, I put them on different parts of my armor but I only get one extra point to that skill. Is this supposed to be this way? If so why dont they warn you before you waste the runes, others in my guild could have used them.

I guess you found out the hard way. But if you think about it, if they did stack, you'd have people running around with lvl 27 skills.

Fine enough if they dont want them to stack ( i still think it is stupid, let people stack up their stuff any way they want..) but atleast they could warn a person that they are not going to work... Same kind of warning you get when trying to stack multiple runes on the same armor piece.

Can you multiple upgrade a single item? Can I add a rune, a wrap and a kiss on the cheek to my staff?

You can try reacquiring the rune with an expert salvage kit. The chances are good, though not guaranteed.
