Be warned, as is most everything I write, it's a little bizarre. However, i'm still curious to know what people thought of it.

I'm in the middle of reading it, but I wanted to say that the game really really needs a wand of cranial bashing. That's just such a lovely phrase.

And that you've caught, with perfect characterization, the duality of Gwen, Destroyer of Worlds, Pyromaniac Nutter, and giggly little girl.

"Indeed, as the mysterious floating tag implied, there on the ground lay the broken remains of Gwen's flute."

Lol! This is really well written, great work on it Spooky.

If I can stop laughing long enough to leave a reply I will. Of course I kept getting these strange looks from my wife and daughter, so I may have to find somewhere else to read these if there are ever more of them.

Very funny, kept me entertained for longer than I realised (while reading this I noticied the hour was one later than I expected; the clocks had changed for summertime).

Well written though, congrats to the auther.

My quest in life now is to have a floating green exclamation mark above my head.

Anybody care to be psychically imprented with random omnidirectional green arrows?

Some great word choices, my favorite being "Are you an ice mage or is it just cold outside?" though it didn't really make any sense...I still couldn't help laughing....just a little.

The ice mage joke does make sense, but the problem is ... try as I might, I simply can't think of a tactful way of explaining it, heh.

I plead the fifth.
Anywho, is anyone interested in seeing the continuation of the series? Or projects like it? I do enjoy writing these, but I suppose I have to admit that it seems a bit excessive to spend a week of my time to amuse five or six people.. hehe

I'm sorry Spooky, I would read the piece in its entirety, but I was honestly intimidated by the story when I first glanced through it to see how long it was . Maybe when I have a lot of freetime on my hands I'll go through it, but since school is starting up again tomorrow, I'll be limited. Not to say that I don't like to read (I would consider myself a fairly avid reader), but it's hard to stare at the same page for an extended period of time. I don't have ADD, but I like to keep a nice pace when cruising web pages.

It's nice to know that you're putting this much time and energy into amusing us though, and I hope that you continue this pursuit; I'm sure more people have read it/are reading it than have posted here.

I was thoroughly entertained My only wish was that you had explored more and had more adventures recreate. It was fantabulous.

Oh yeah, I just had to mention the 1337 skale, that was magnificent.

Definitely write more, and other people too. GWGuru is very lacking (and so, I might add, are almost all the other GW sites out there) when it comes to fan-written literature pertaining to GW. Spooky's story was great, and though it seemed long, it only takes about 15 minutes to read (perhaps the narrow page gives the illusion of length).

When searching for some more stuff to read and print off (for when I'm not on the computer but I still can't get enough of GW) I can hardly find anything. So, the verdict: I'll write my own. We should all write a little more, or make a few pictures. Keep going Spooky, we need the motivation. Things like these really get you connected to the game.

Heh. There's something I wasn't expecting to see - people wanting it to be longer. I was making a conscious effort to keep things brief and quickly moving forward, as I used to get criticized for writing 'too much' back when I used to do creative endeavours for OGaming. In the most extreme case of that, I ended up making a 'guest appearance' in a webcomic .. being violently throttled because of it. Things like this tend to leave me with the impression that I should do only what is necessary to get the point across. But if there's an interest in things being fleshed out a little more, then certainly, i'll see what I can do for the next go around.

Great read. Thanks a lot for sharing this essay. I'm really looking forward to reading part 2. My favorite piece is unarguably the pyromaniac Gwen.

I guess you can just use the experiances that you/guildmates/friends/others have in GW adding those spectacular twists that you do so well. You could like make up a story based on the missions/quests/wars.

I seem to be stuck in the role of pedant! Spellcheck! Burn your Thesaurus! Sometimes you seemed to get into the position of using words just because you knew them, which strikes me annoyingly when I read it. (do eludicate how one eludicates 'upon')

(Plus 'fall' is the Worst Way Of Saying Autumn, Ever.)

Otherwise, well done! Write more!

I might share why I, and maybe others would like it to be longer. We are in the midst of not being able to play the game. So any GW entertainment is wanted to keep me/us entertained until the next BWE.

I would like longer stories even after release, simply because I can read them on my work breaks and I can't be playing

The story was great.

I will keep it short and sweet. I want more. I have not laughed so much in a long time - in fact since hearing new guild mates discussing what they wanted to do to a certain Prince after chasing him for the first time last Beta....

I really like your style. Your way of seeing things reminds me at "Hitchhikers guide to galaxy" or discworld.
