how do get acces code to play client

i just downloaded the client for Guild wars and it wont let me play cause u have to have an acces code how do i get one,????

The only way to gain an acces code at the present time is by buying a Preorder or having someone pass you a Freind's Pass. There is no more special contest sponsored by ArenaNet to gain acces to the client anymore.

You either need to preorder, or hope that someone very kind will give you a friend's pass. Preorders cost about $5-10 in the US, so it's not too much, and if you decide to buy the game, it counts as credit towards the final price of the released version.

Oh, and you can only play during Beta Weekend Events. The next one is April 15-17.

Actually it should only be $10 is the US no tax( in california that I know of) and hold onto your reciept because it's applied to your purchase when the game is released...

I got mine from CompUSA $10.00 US even though they charge me $1 at first then panicked when I said I'd buy them all....... Sniff sniff, I almost got all my friends a free copy for early Christmas..

Nope. EBgames charges $5. All the rest charge $10.
