OK, so I'm known for my poor decisions when picking classes... Here's some examples:
Pre-Nerf Bounty Hunter (SWG)
ShadowKnight (EQII)
Controller (CoH)
Warlock (WoW)
As you can see I've continually picked the worst of the worst.
My first toon in GW is a Necro/Monk. I'm still pre-searing, and the only time I find myself in trouble is fighting 6 or more mobs. I feel relatively powerful, in many case 2 shotting enemies. The ability to heal myself hwile causing damage is awesome... I understand the role of having subpar nukes in exchange for having the healing factor of some necro spells. But I haven't seen the downside of my choices yet. I use reversal of fortune, bane and 1 healing spell from my monk...
Now here's the million dollar question... After reading it seems many people are saying this a weak class combo, and "end-game" is very weak PvP...
So...
Did I do it again? Did I pick a lousy class? Am I gimping myself for the future and I don't know it already? Pre-searing and low-level I feel powerful, but I'm wondering if that's going to change...

Just you wait.
