Well I got the following problem, I know it's still about a month till GW's released but I by myself love making up the perfect character for me a long time before the games even released. I already played one BWE and tested a couple of builds, like W/M, R/N, R/M, R/E, N/W, W/N, M/W, and some monk-build but I prefer fighting insteat of supporting, now my problem:
I'm a person who can't REALLY choose between different classes, some of you may know the game R.O.S.E.-Online? Well I had around 8 characters on there till I actually left the game *to prepare for GW? xD*. I played one BWE till now and I kinda got 2 combinations that interest me the most, the Ranger/Elementalist and the Mesmer/Warrior but like I said I don't know TOO much about GW yet. I'm probably gonna make one character and keep this ones as long as possible, gonna use it for PvE AND PvP. First I'm going to focus on PvE to see as much as I can from the beautiful environment and build my character up but later I'll focus on PvP/GvG. But now I need help with choosing, since I played them both but still can't decide.
Both class-combinations got advantages and disadvantages for PvP, I'm gonna list the biggest ones I noticed:
Ranger/Elementalist (Anti-Caster/Interrupter-Build with Air-Magic):
Advantages/Disavantages:
I tried this build the last in Marchs BWE and I gotta say it's quite fun and we won many games in a row in random PvP/4on4. I enjoyed interrupting the casters and dealing extradamage everytime they casted spells. With an addition lightnigh-damage getting them down was quite easy. Very funny part from trying this build was keeping the monk alive...yes I kept the monk alive, not by healing or something like that but when 2 warriors aimed for our monk I kept casting Gale on them (Knockdown target foe for 3 seconds) and crippling the 2nd ones by using Pin Down, but now the disadvantages of this build: Low armor, burning energy quite fast (especially with spamming Gale), weak against warriors, usually getting gangbanged when the enemy noticed what you're trying to do.
Mesmer/Warrior (Illusionary-Weaponry Build):
Advantages/Disavantages:
I had much fun with this build too but we didn't win too many games in a row with this. I by myself like this build because it's something unusual, when people wanna go melee they usually go X/W or W/X using either one of the 3 weapon-masteries and I really like playing something unusual and I haven't seen many M/Ws this BWE at all...I don't know if I used this build wrong or if I just didn't react fast enough but this build was the very first ones I tried in PvP. With a high Illusion Magic I dealed around 36+ damage every hit, no matter agains which class, combined with Flurry I could kill either the half opponent team or get killed before killing even one person. In the beginning i was quite sucessful with the M/W but later I noticed this builds weaknesses, mainly it's bad armor got me killed. I used the warriors stances for a 75% chance of melee-block but well...Rangers and Elementalists kept getting me down.
I know, I'm probably making a huge topic for nothing but it's really hard for me to choose, I really love both builds but when the games released I don't really want to have multiple characters at all, me and some friends already planed on making a guild and we wanna lead this guild to victory...well anyways I don't know too much about GW and I can't tell if my advantages and disadvantages are all right...thats just another reason why I need help I'd be glad if you guys left any suggestions for me on here, please tell me which build you'd use and WHY! Thanks in advance for taking some time to read and reply!
Need help with deciding...

If you want victory, and you say the first build gave you that alot, choose it.
Loviatar
it is a game
pick what you have the most fun with
you have 4 slots
take your time and build up several and maybe one of them will stand out like a sore
