Do you get all the points that you had used on your secondary back? When you buy the new secondary skills from a trainer, do they still cost skill points? Do the skills you get from quests cost skill points?
I'm trying to figure out how feasible it is to just use my main character to unlock other skills, but if I have to grind for every single skill point because there aren't any refunds, then it would seem like I should just use different characters...

No, you won't get the points back. Skills bought from trainers cost points, skills gained from quests do not.
And it's easier to level up another character and get skills for it, than grind all the skills on one character. In my opinion.

I'm not 100% certain, but those quests you used to get skills for you first secondary will still not be available (in other words remain completed) if you switch secondaries.

Ahh, thanks a ton. So basically it would be a huge grind to try and unlock skills with one character versus 3/4. Thanks for the quick responses!
