With the release date just around the corner, what state do you think the game is in? Do you think it's ready for release? Where are our "storage" containers? What's happened to the skill system? They're going through a rebalancing all the skills? WTFBBQ?

Do you think Guild Wars will be released on time?

And anyways ArenaNet is obviously working hard and making tweaks that's why we saw som differences from each beta. But all MMOs go through this, and they've always said "GW might come out on X or on X" But not it's "Guild Wars will come out on April 28th, 2005" So I believe it will come out then, no questions asked.

(please note i am desperate for money to get my guild a cape and hall)

Also i think that the personal storage is already being used by the alpha testers (lucky bastards) and just need fine tuning, it's not like its a big hard thing to make, I guarantee you it will be in the release, if not in the next BWE (not an actualy guarantee)

Unless this knowledge has been provided by Gaile, or Alex, a dev, or any employee of ANet allowed to divulge information to the masses.. there really should be no way for you to know what the alphas are experiencing right now. It's a big iron gate called NDA.
So, I hope this is just a firm opinion.

The game looked really remarkably darn stable to me, the only time I crashed was when the servers (pro'lly between me and Arena.Net) started going loopy. The BWE's are most likely for "Slam" testing the servers, making sure they can handle bazillions of people logging in at once.
The game is done, with the exception of a few tweaks here and there (Fixing the text, adding this, removing that, adjusting the frammistat coding, that sort of thing) it's ready to go as near as I can tell. Which is good, since a month before the set-in-stone release date is a bad time to find a new problem. ^_^

Well I believe on launch date we'll have a few happy suprises:
1) I talked to Gaile the other day and she said they were coming up with something to fix the Ranger's Pets. When I suggested commands(sit/follow/attack/retreat)she said it was a good idea and she'd look into it. I think we might have something like that. Or AN will go the easy way and remove the DP on pets.
2) Everyone knows the chat needs fixing, so I think AN has some plans for that.
3) I think we'll see lots of new missions/quests
4) Maybe some skills.
Like we've all heard: the BWE is only about 30~60% of the retail game. But it's a little hard to believe, I'd say more like 75%.
But nevertheless, even if those things above don't happen, Guild Wars will still be great. And remember if Spooky says its coming out, it's coming out. I have no doubt in my mind that Guild Wars will be awesome.

Simple, and a very welcome sign of support. I cannot imagine that Guild Wars will be delayed in any way, shape or form. The wheels are fully in motion, and we're meeting our milestones really nicely. It's wonderful, though, to have people with the kind and wise objectives of "the best game possible" and not ironclad "date-mania" in mind.
Again, there's no delay on the horizon for the final Beta Weekend Event or for the release of Guild Wars.

If you have any experienced coders here, then you will know that once the root of the code is in place and working (i.e. the major data structures/functions)... then going to the branches/leaves is a rather simple process. The only problem is if you have a bunch of branches/leaves (as this game would have), you may not be able to address them all if you have a short supply of staff. BUT the game is operable as seen, so branches and leaves aren't needed and can be added later. Forgive me for being so generic, I wanted to get the general idea across and not try to throw out acronyms and seldom seen code analogies.
