Dying Chaos Axes

I just bought one off of here and I decided to see if I could turn it red. They can be dyed but they take really wierd to dyes. Putting a red dye on it turned it green...
Has anyone played around with this? I'd kind of like to know what some of the other colours will do before I go and waste a whole bunch of dyes trying to figure it out.

I wasted a black one, and it didnt change anything but the very very tip of it ^.^...

I say, don't experiment with expensive dyes, in a hope that you get something you want... heh

I haven't tried this my self but I was told by a freind that it only dyes the hilt/grip of weapons

The glow around the whole axe and the grip changes, just the blade stays blue.

i have dyed chaos axes many times: i believe they take to the opposite color...
i reccomend yellow and greean and blue dyes, or custom dyes. All of those looked MAD hot for me.
What about dying fellblades?

This was the blue dye

The green dye turned it purple I think.

Orange Dye for the green axe.

i forgot what made mine gold?? i know silver makes it whiteish pink

are eternal shields the same?? in terms of color

anyone know where we can find a list? or can some more ppl post their dyed axe? this looks interesting

As far as I know the color on Eternal Shields doesn't take.

And here's the color listing, copied from another thread about dyes and chaos axes:

orange --> bluish-green
yellow --> cyan
purple --> orange
green --> purple
blue --> red
red --> green
silver --> pink/white

I think a Black Dye makes it turn white.
