What do you think about ADDITIONAL Rank based PvP districts for the Tombs ?
I would like to be able to access NEW districts called and accessed only if you have the right rank.
Tomb of the Primeval Kings - Rank 1
Tomb of the Primeval Kings - Rank 2
Tomb of the Primeval Kings - Rank 3
Tomb of the Primeval Kings - Rank 4
WHY!!! Because I had not so much fun in the Tombs with the PvP pick up groups. There were so many bad players / groups that it freaked me out!! The reason for this was the availability of premades - which I think was ok.
When they all are screaming:
1. NONONO you can't kill the Rift Wardens - IT IS TOO DANGEROUS!!! GET BACK HERE!
2. I KILLED THEIR HERO!! - We won! Why are you all dead ? and why haven't we won yet ? I killed him!
3. WARRIORS DON'T res - it is for the monk. One good monk should be able to heal the party, and if somebody dies - res them to -WHILE healing...
4. Why are you guys so freaked out about attacking the same target ? CHILL OUT!
It drove me nuts. There were a few exceptions and we were lucky for a while, but with no target calling, no strategy, no leader etc - Pure luck.
RANK
I am only currently Rank 2, which is not very high. And I didn't get any Rank and hardly any fame points this weekend.
It would be nice to be able to choose to go to a district where I at least know I would meet players about the same level as me - preferably better .... I think the overall experience for all would be better.
I know there is a problem if you have just made a new premade and would like to hook up with your buddies that have a higher rank. Then have them join you or go for a Guild Battle. I think I have no choice for the next beta, other than beg and plead to join a decent guild and do Guild Battles.
What do you guys think ?
Rank based areas for PvP! A must !

I don't think it's a bad idea... but you do run the risk of alienating friends and such.
I saw you in the Tombs, btw, Rat... we won, but I remember it being a pretty good game, :P.
It IS true, however, that you are taking your life into your own hands by joining a totally random PuG that suddenly invites you. Anyone ever been a Monk Primary and stood in any popular district in the Tombs? lol, maybe it's like this everywhere, but wow... so many invites.

I think in time you'll find the reliable people and stick them on your friends list. I think public tombs groups have more problems than simply lack of experience with the game, because at least that will improve after release.

As time goes on after release, I don't think that the first few fame ranks will be as good an indicator of player skill as it might be now. If someone spends enough time in Tombs, by law of chances, they'll eventually meet enough teams even more clueless than their own, and rack up points for rank that way. So, whereas a skilled player might play a few hours per day and win each one, an unskilled player could play for 15 hours a day and slowly maintain that same pace of rank by.. well.. losing a lot, but also winning a couple. Of course, GW's system of rewarding more fame for consecutive wins helps to lighten this problem.. but still, the question of whether fame measures time or skill remains at the first few ranks of fame.
You can also argue that the unskilled player who plays 15 hours a day will eventually get better, and so you can still use that system.. but how do you quantify "skill?" Especially based on the fame system as it is, when fame isn't even shared across an account. I can maybe see this plan working in the higher level fames.. but at the lower levels, I think it'll just be an unnecessary divide. I think the only fail-proof method at this point is like xaanix said.. just form a team with your friends, your guild, or other people that you know.

I don't like the idea to separate tomb by ranks. Unlike arena, you have the control of who is going to be in your party. If you don't like the chance of having bad players on your group then start making friends, or better yet join a guild, and make your own group to play on the tomb.
Heck, now that they have upgraded the henchmen to level 20 you could also use them to complete your group. My team held the HoH for several rounds using the healer henchman :P

Gonna be pretty hard for Rank 1's to ever increase in ranks, considering they'll be stuck playing with other Rank 1's versus higher ranked teams.

Playing against other Rank 1's would give them a good fight and not an instant sweep.

It's easy to get interrupted while you try to resurrect someone and more probably the Monk would be the next to be attacked if someone died. The Monk should be healing so that you don't loose another one.

Of course...that one was meant to show what I would hear in PvP. Yes, Warriors res, but when I asked if some of the W/mo could res - that was the answer I got..
I wonder if I should post it in the suggestion forum - will have to see what some of the other responses are.
