Okay, I have no idea what quest I need to do and where I get it from to move on to post-searing. On my map, the cities with shields are Ruins of Surmia(no swords), The Great Northen Wall(one sword), and Fort Ranik(two swords). Also, how many more quests do I have to go before post-searing... I HATE SEARING... lol.

Um... What you're in IS post-searing. Everyone calls it post searing since the event that caused the apocalyptic look was called the searing. And as for your question, you need to complete Ruins of Surmia to move on. Once that's done, you do Nolani Academy, and then you're out of the charred landscapes, and into snow covered mountains.

Yes, and in the GW timeline, the searing was what happened right after you got out of idyllic Ascalon. The post-apocalyptic Ascalon is 2 years after the Searing.
