Guild Hall Vault/Treasury

Ok this is a suggestion for an upgrade to the guild halls(hopefully the first of many).

The idea is an npc(and/or just a chest) you can place in your guild hall that players would be able to place in an item or a gold amount and assign it to another guild member. Only the person that put it in there and the person its assigned to woudl be able to retrieve the item.


Reasons for this suggestion:
A) You guild holds contests but the person with the prize can sometimes have trouble meeting up with the winner to award them.

B) A fellow guild member has asked you to keep an eye out for a certain weapon type for them. this way you can leave it for them without having to try and meet up with them again after you find it and it just takes up space.

C) Guild collections/donations. Need to save up to buy another upgrade for the guild? this vault would allow you to store cash in it so the leader can use it to get the guild more goodies.

D) this and any other Guild Hall upgrades would be more reason for the Hall itself to become a social center for the guild.

this could also funtion as the first npc in the guild hall. like after you buy the vault you can hire other henchmen to be available to take on guild battles and the like. Hopefully hall upgrades and expansions will be available in the future and a guld vault will be one of them

I second this and all other suggestions I've seen thus far for guild halls. Guilds need to have more versatile functions and just straight up more functions in this game.

I realy think that is a great idea. I would love to see more guild(hall) features. Because the only thing you can do is meet up, gvg, and chatt. There should be more Guild Features in

Also, as a side note, while I think Guild Halls were originally intended strictly for PvP-type matters, many PvE guilds are also wanting Guild Halls to serve as social centers. This adds much more importance and potential to the halls, so I definitely think they really could use more features. There are already countless thread for ideas on how to upgrade guild halls. It would be nice if we could merge them into one big complete thread, as many many great ideas can be found in different threads.

I really do hope they put some of these things in soon and not make us wait for 6 months to buy the next expansion...

Some of the guild hall ideas on here IMO are great and would add so much to the game, while staying with the whole theme of the game.

A purely public storage box alone would increase the "social" aspect by 10 fold, I think. Simply because I can dump the stuff that I don't want to sell into there and let my guildmates have it.

Customizing the hall with more buildings (portals to popular towns, the storage thing)/NPCs(traders, guards for decoration)... this could be a HUGE money sink which is a good thing because soon people will have too much cash and the economy will go to hell

and allowing something like an XvX pvp arena where the guildmates can just go into a flat open area and try stuff out. I don't mean that they will actually fight, but generally they will go in there to experiment. Like a monk and warrior decide to head in and see if the monk does enough healing on himself to counter the warrior's damage. And with this they can try different scenarios 4v3, or 5v5 but one side has a couple dead teammates that nead reviving....


I know i just rehashed a bunch of ideas from this forum already but I think these are all good ideas (until someone tells me otherwise) and we should talk about them and refine them until the developers take notice

One thing I really like is the Social aspect of online games. With the lack of a shared world explorable area (because that's just how GW is), I look to my guild for most of my social interaction. It'd be great if our home really felt like our home... like a hub to hang out and do things.

yes. someone should compile all the ideas. then we'll haggle and refine them until everyone on the forums agrees its a Good Thing(tm) and then a moderator should sticky it Then we can be a united front for guild-hall improvement

any ideas dealing with making the guild hall more useable are more than welcome from my side, more power to the guild halls

I would like to see the ideas compiled in a large list as long as the person compiling it doesn't try to pass it off as all his own. I mean i don't care if you put my name on the idea i present but make sure you mention first thing that this is a compilation of ideas.


Oh and for those that liked this idea check out my bazaar idea that i posted in Envy's Beating a dead horse thread. I'm thinking of polishing it off and making it its own thread.
